Ozzy Sickened By Church

Ozzy Osbourne and 'church' are three words that aren't often mentioned in the same sentence together. What's even more surprising is that Kansas' famously small-minded and often hate-mongering Westboro Baptist Church, which is known for its slogan "God Hates Fags," and for its radical viewpoint that American soldiers are being slaughtered overseas because Americans are tolerant of homosexuality, would actually use Osbourne's music at their events.

Osbourne is not happy about his music being associated with Westboro Baptist Church, and he's issued an impassioned statement expressing how appalled he is that the church's paraphrased lyrics from his hit, 'Crazy Train,' at a Supreme Court hearing.

"I am sickened and disgusted by the use of 'Crazy Train' to promote messages of hate and evil by a 'church,'" Ozzy said in response to news that the his lyrics were borrowed and corrupted for events surrounding Tuesday's Snyder v. Phelps Supreme Court hearing. Apparently, an attorney, who is the daughter of Westoboro Baptist Church's founder, along with her sister, paraphrased the Ozzman's words at a press conference in Washington D.C.

The church is described by the Wall Street Journal as a "tiny Kansas church ... [that] preaches that U.S. deaths in Afghanistan and Iraq are punishment for American's tolerance of homosexuality and abortion."
